Haiku Deck is a simplistic presentation software that lets you create something similar to a PowerPoint. It's designed for very simple presentations, which makes it great for doing 'quick' presentations.
My third graders use it to create spelling word slideshows, where they put a word and sentence on each slide.
One of the best features of Haiku Deck is that image search ( to add image backgrounds to slides ) is integrated within the app. When you type 'Red' on the slide, the app will automatically try and find red pictures; when you type ' lever', it tries to find pictures of levers.
The first time you use the app will take some setup, as you need to register each student using their UCP Student email. Although you can use one email address for every student, be warned that their slideshows will all be shared with each other.
Slides can be turned in using the share button and attaching a link to the presentation to an assignment in Google Classroom. Alternatively, you can simply share a link to the presentation.
Below is a quick video explaining how to use the app.
